The Sentries

This piece depicts three tree stumps standing guard in the Forest. Each is garbed in armor and matching helmet made of a different natural fiber: white stone chips, bark chips, and feathers. They carry no weapons.

The Sentries serves as a reminder that the natural environment is hardy yet hardly impervious to human attack. Ultimately, it is unable to defend itself against human aggression.
